The purpose of the Food for Thought program is to use local food sources to provide three meals per week for 1000 students in LaGonave, Haiti. For less than $42.00 a month you can feed 1000 children for one day and help us to reach our needed sustainable goal of $50,000.00 per year.
Food for Thought is a program established by Partners With Haiti, Inc., a non-profit tax exempt corporation 501(c)3 organized under the laws of Florida and authorized to transact business in Virginia, subject to all Virginia laws applicable to the corporation.
It is still possible for Haitians to use local market products and prepare a healthy, nutritious meal of rice, beans, etc. for the cost of $.50 per student per day. You can provide nutrition, essential for academic development, to 1000 children a day for just $500.00 per year!
Hunger will not go away, but with our help, it can be reduced. Donations are key to this program. Individuals, churches, civic groups and businesses - all can help. Please feel free to make donations directly through this website or contact us to learn more.
It is our dedicated mission to provide an adequate and sustainable school lunch program for the 1000 students who attend St. Bernadette School on LaGonave, Haiti in order to reduce the debilitating impact of malnutrition and to advance the goals of education and learning.
